The first point – make sure to quit McAfee Endpoint Security before the uninstall
Once you install McAfee Endpoint Security, it will launch automatically on your Mac and it is hard to shut down. If the app is active, you can click the McAfee Endpoint Security icon from the menu bar and choose Quit McAfee Endpoint Security for Mac.

- Open up a Finder window, click the Go from the Menu Bar, and choose Go to Folder
- Enter /Library in the box that pops up, and hit Enter key to open up the folder
- Type McAfee in the search box, and click on the Library below the Search: bar
- Control-click the files and folders whose names contain McAfee, and move them to the Trash. You will be prompted to enter the admin password to allow the change
- Repeat the procedure to find out and remove associated items in ~/Library folder
